Angry Angry
Daycare was closed for the week for vacation. Since I took time off the week of the 4th, I didn’t want to take off again. P is in North Carolina for work. I hired a girl (aged 17) that had sat for us twice before, once went poorly, I gave her another chance, but then she did much better. Well this week didn’t go well. I instructed her the main issue is to take the children outside. It was sunny and nice. TAKE THEM OUTSIDE. She did not. For the entire three days. They basically watched movies all three days. She didn’t clean up after lunch. She gave B unlimited milk (Despite my warnings) and V unlimited soda. V gave her a very hard time. I think she knew she could run her. It’s like Caesar the dog trainer says – someone needs to be the pack leader. When there isn’t one, the other dogs will be very uneasy and try to take over. Every day when I got home, B’s diaper was soaked. He developed a terrible red burn/chap from his butt not being wiped properly. When I contacted her she listed all the places she would take them. I installed car seats in her car. Finally after much probing I called her out on and she admitted she was not comfortable driving them around. JUST SAY SO. I was angry. The very worst is how poorly behaved the kids were every night at home. Crazy, crabby, short-fused. I told her I didn’t need her on Thursday and we were done. What a disappointment.

Ugh
It seems like when you have a bad day, it is a extremely crappy one. Does one bad thing attract other bad things, or is that one bad thing put you in a hypersensitive realm for another minorly bad thing and blow them out of proportion? I had my performance review at work and I received the highest rating, however, the goals/narrative for this upcoming year sort of well, hurt my feelings/were brutally honest. Then I job that I had interviewed for, and really wanted, and was told I was the top candidate for, I received an email saying "I wasnt' a good fit at this time". Okkkkaaayy then. So someone more qualifed than me beat me out. I can accept that. The job was re-posted later that day. So they just didn't want ME. I can't figure that out. To top it off, the cottage we rented kept a very large part of our very large security deposit because of the way "we left the cottage". Okay then...... Fantastic.
1:45 hours left to this day - a MONDAY - that may be the reason, and I am done with it.
A new start is always good.

76 degrees today!
It was 76 degrees today. It has all the makings of a really nice day. I felt energetic and to update my post yesterday, very very good physically today after Circuits yesterday.
However I spent a great deal of the day being angry and irritated. We have a new person in our office that sits two feet from me. This person has been there a week and asks few questions. This person spent a great deal of time today on Careerbuilder.com and then on Ebay. Can you believe the audacity of new person to do this being so new? Anyway - not to be a Cindy Brady but I did let our boss know. I have no desire to spend training someone like that. I also had a MD be a bit derogatory to me as well.
The third thing is that I think I have P's cold UGH! I did get a great walk at lunch today and now I am going to take another one and try and get in 14,000 steps today.
I added the flower pictures to remind me of spring! They were all taken in the UK.

Monday, Monday......
It seems like a lot of things made me angry today!
Case #1:
I eat two meals a day at work. I bring a lot of food from home and attempt to eat healthy. Due to a constant theft problem in our kitchen, I share a small fridge with my colleague. However, sometimes I leave things very clearly marked with my name in the community fridge. In the past I have had stolen:
Coffee creamer (used day after day until gone, they just kept siphoning it off)
half a container of skim milk
a frozen ice cream bar (which I had taken a bite out of)
a container of cinnamon
an open container of egg beaters
an entire two Liter unopened (that I brought for a party)
a slice of bread in a sandiwch bag
a three day old half sandwich from a conference
The cinnamon is the newest thing. It just angers me to no end. We are all professional people. I left the cinnamon in the fridge (for my oatmeal) clearly marked with my name. I came back two weeks later and only some brown dust remains. What the hell? I left a note demanding a replacement taped to the fridge which the manager asked me to take down because "I took a risk leaving my items there". BS! This is an ongoing problem and thank goodness I have my own fridge now.
Case #2:
I go to the local rec center around 4 times a week. I am friendly with a bunch of older guys that use the Cybex Arc Trainers at the same time I do. Today they somehow started discussing age. They guessed my age at 48. Apparently they were serious. I was so pleased. Guess I won't be wasting any time chatting with them again. I told them I was 30 and that they were a bunch of bastards.
Case #3:
Pfizer, which is a major employer in the Ann Arbor area is closing. That stinks in a major way. Guess we'll be getting lots of resumes for our open positions.
