Thanks for all the kind wishes. I am feeling somewhat human today, but not quite back to my normal level of soreness. It is pretty decent for Monday. We had a freezing rainstorm this morning and It took me over an hour to get to work. I am usually in at 7:30 but didn't get in until after 8:15. Thankfully it all melted and it is actually warmed up to 47 degrees out. I am going to take a little run/jog now that it is still light out later. P is still working on a big project. He works about 12 hours per day. Better him than me I guess, but sometimes it gets lonely eating dinner by myself every night. ON the other hand, I can do whatever I want to as well. Hit the gym after work, go shopping, etc. I still want to sit down to dinner as a family, complete with child. Except the child part is missing and the husband part isn't here.
Alas, off for a jog. There are sooo many houses for sale in our neighborhood as well as Metro Detroit. Things aren't so great here with the auto industries and all and many people are trying to get out. I don't know who is going to buy all these houses when the people that used to buy them came here for the auto industry jobs. Anyway - grateful we both have a job.

It's been a long time
It's been a long time since I blogged mostly due to feeling like total crap and being really busy. The two in combination really make the time fly by. My FM has been flaring and I have been in a significant amount of pain, stiffness, and discomfort. It might be due to the change in the weather, it might be just because I am that lucky. Anyway, felt pretty crappy all week, been unable to finish my painting, or do much else. The only thing that helps is exercise really, although I have dragging myself to the gym to do that.
My next post should be more positive. I promise.

Pictures...
Everyone is always emailing me and saying how much they like the pictures. I find my life to be somewhat boring, especially at the present, but I have posted a few more pics for your viewing pleasure. I'm off to a meeting of my women's social group.
The 2nd photo is a picture of Sleeping Bear Dunes in N. Mich from last June. The 1st is from the Louvre in Paris - myself in front of the famous Monet painting.

Weekend Update ..... Late!
It sure was a busy weekend. I really didn't have any time to do any of the intense relaxing aka sitting around I like to do for around 2 hours each weekend. This involves playing on the laptop and watching TiVo often in front of the fire. It is immensely rewarding. I watch things like repeats of Unsolved Mysteries (my very favorite show of all time), Girls Next Door, and Sell This House. Crap that P would not be caught dead watching.
Anyway - it was one thing after another. Saturday evening P had a work event, his annual Casino Night. We went last year and it was a lot of fun. They have a few raffles, some appetizers, a cash bar, blackjack, roulette, craps, etc. We played blackjack which I did quite well on. So well in fact, that I won a the 3rd place trophy for most money won. P was rather pleased. Also pleasing was that they had a giant chocolate fountain. I have never tried the wonderful things that you wash in chocolate, and consume, but I can now be counted as a fan. So good.
With still painting the hallway, cooking, buying groceries, laundry, trips to the gym, getting my hair done, etc that was the weekend.
This whole case taking place in Michigan with the husband killing the wife and dismembering her corpse is so upsetting. It's all over the national news now. THe woman was a fellow curly, around my age, and also grew up in a rural N. Mich town. Now the children have lost both parents. So sad.

It's Friday again ....
You can never get enough Fridays. I had a very busy morning at work, but actually came home early to having some ear/tooth pain. I rarely miss work.
We've been ferret sitting for two friends this week. I should say I've been ferreting sitting. P works 13-14 hours a day and doesn't feed, water, pet or scoop the large clumped mound of poop and pee from the litter boxes or when the ferret is mad (which is often) directly from the cage. We've watched the ferret for short stretches in the past, but never this long. Let's just say he isn't happy at our house. He is used to having the run of the house there, but our house isn't ferret proofed. If you ferret proof a room, then he can't stand to be left behind a closed door. He will walk on a leash a little bit, but he is really curious about everything and likes to crawl in and under things. He is kinda stressed. He's given me a bit a nip last time we watched. This time, I let him out and played with him and he bit me really hard on the hand. I have two large teeth marks but thankfully no blood.
Ferrets also smell. I wouldn't recommend them for a pet.

The continuing saga of my life
My teeth are falling out. Seriously. Today I went to the dentist at the hospital referred by a regular dentist because I am just too complicated to handle. My teeth are very 'mobile' to put it nicely. I ended up having three stiches in my gum to try and save my tooth (a bicuspid). It isn't that I have tooth decay or anything, just a LOT of dental problems. I should have either been a dentist or tried really hard to marry a dentist. Those that know me know that I have a lot of congentially missing teeth. The few teeth that I do have are crooked and misformed with underdeveloped roots. A pretty picture, hey? This is not even my main dental problem. That would be that my bite is totally collapsed (ie my front teeth severely overlap and hardly any of my teeth meet). At one time during the appointment there was a prostodonist, oral surgeon, dentist and 5 dental students in one room gawking at me. Actually they were very nice, unlike dentists in the past. One said, "that is why you don't go into private practice. You'll never get to see cases like this". They also want to write me up for a dental journal because damn it, I am that special.
Blah, blah, blah. My many dental issues. Anyway. There was a lot of talk a bit ago regarding jaw surgery with a 6 week recovery. These particular dental professionals don't feel it's necessary. They want to put in implants at a cost around $20,000. Sigh. I also have to see a geneticist - because my mum, aunts and gran have a similiar problem.
Honestly...... I don't want to lose any teeth, but it is unknown what is going to happen. Too much drama.

Weekend Update
I meant to blog for some time, but I've been very busy. Very, very busy week at work, just keep getting more work dumped on me. {insert sigh here} Spent some time at the gym this weekend and some time doing normal stuff, laundry, shopping, etc. Last night we met P's ex-coworker N and his wife E for Japanese food which was fabulous. I Looooovveee Japanese food and this was very good. I even enjoyed some Sake. It was so nice to see them and then we went to a kind of game arcade for adults. I got to play pinball (I haven't played that in years since I was a little kid and my Grandpa used to give G and I quarters in the bar while he had a couple). We also played some virtual reality games like boxing, which was quite a hoot as P kept imitating my moves all day and really exaggerating them! It was a lot of fun and just what I needed.
I am also getting ready to paint the upstairs hallway, something I've wanted to do for ages, but other rooms were always more important. Taped that today and cleaned the kitchen, P is making dinner. I am sitting here watching --- okay I hate to admit it, but E!'s "The Girls Next Door". P thinks I am crazy, but I just find is entertaining, perhaps because I am so not like the ladies on that show.
Here's to a good week!
