It sure was a busy weekend. I really didn't have any time to do any of the intense relaxing aka sitting around I like to do for around 2 hours each weekend. This involves playing on the laptop and watching TiVo often in front of the fire. It is immensely rewarding. I watch things like repeats of Unsolved Mysteries (my very favorite show of all time), Girls Next Door, and Sell This House. Crap that P would not be caught dead watching.
Anyway - it was one thing after another. Saturday evening P had a work event, his annual Casino Night. We went last year and it was a lot of fun. They have a few raffles, some appetizers, a cash bar, blackjack, roulette, craps, etc. We played blackjack which I did quite well on. So well in fact, that I won a the 3rd place trophy for most money won. P was rather pleased. Also pleasing was that they had a giant chocolate fountain. I have never tried the wonderful things that you wash in chocolate, and consume, but I can now be counted as a fan. So good.
With still painting the hallway, cooking, buying groceries, laundry, trips to the gym, getting my hair done, etc that was the weekend.
This whole case taking place in Michigan with the husband killing the wife and dismembering her corpse is so upsetting. It's all over the national news now. THe woman was a fellow curly, around my age, and also grew up in a rural N. Mich town. Now the children have lost both parents. So sad.
